Purple Coneflower

Echinacia

I’m planting purple coneflowers (among others) around the entire house in order to attract Big Eyed Bugs, one of the species that feeds on chinch bugs, as part of my pest-control efforts this year. The plant should grow early-blooming, showy, perennial blossoms.

So far, I’ve planted some seeds in with the bulbs that I got for free in ‘09, and along the shade side of the house in ‘09.
