Aster is a showy, tall plant. This variety is a needle type with a variety of colored blooms. I planted some of them indoors in a seed tray, but they didn’t take that well — I planted the remainder of the seeds outdoors in the shady side bed up against the house, where I hope they’ll provide a colorful back layer. According to the packaging, this variety will attract butterflies.
