Cosmos
I planted some purple and white cosmos on the side of the house to fill in a large, otherwise empty bed and to (hopefully) attract some Big Eyed Bugs that will eat the huge number of chinch bugs that ate my lawn last year.
I love these wildflowers for their variety and color. It’s so amazing to see them in every shape and size, with every number of petals and every shape of flower. As they go through their lifecycle, even the tiny details about the flowers like the shape of the stamens around the pistil changes in a wild dance.
Or maybe I’m just *really* feeling the springtime, ‘eh? If so, it’s for want of a real wildflower of a woman.
