Down with the Scuzz, Up with the Dirt
I’ve been down with the scuzz all week, and spend most of it sleeping when I wasn’t working from home, taking care of the dogs, or blowing big yellow chunks of my lung out through my nose I did manage to get some of the absolutely necessary gardening done.
Namely, I got the first section of the raised bed filled back up, and then I got the Quinault strawberry, the Black Krim, and the bush zucchini seedlings put in the right places and one of the bush cuke sprouts planted.
In the second picture, you can see how far it had settled. I didn’t disturb the Kohlrabi… I want to see what happens to it, if it bolts or what. That’s the batch of seed that I planted on 25Feb, about 60 days ago. It’s supposed to require 80 days to maturity from sprout, so we’ll be getting close to 100 as a daily high by the end of next month when it’s due to mature.
More pictures tomorrow; I’ll be filling back up the south side of the garden (with the exception of the onions, which I’ll have to keep terraced at their current altitude), moving the eggplant that’s not so happy on the edge where it is, direct-sowing green beans, luffa squash, vine cucumbers, and a Mr. Stripey tomato plant that I was given!
