Good thing I bought the tray kit, it made it easy to lift the seedlings out and dispose of the extra water. I’m letting things dry out for a day or two and in the meantime I’m watering on an as-needed basis with a spray bottle.
The Kolhlrabi was the first to sprout, with the lettuce right behind it. A few days later, the green beans sprouted, and they’ve gone great guns since then.
One thing I’ve changed since I started planting is the trays. I’ve cut them apart and now only plant one type in a tray. I’m keeping things that haven’t sprouted yet in an incubator tray to keep the heat and humidity up, and things that have sprouted in the regular tray with the lid off so that things don’t mold. It’s fairly warm in my house (especially in the windows right here) so it shouldn’t be a problem for those things that are lid-off.
